Heidenspass is working with young job-seekers, especially those, who are known as NEETs (not in employment, education or training). In the past eight years heidenspass gained a lot of experience in low-threshold employment for young people in the age of 15-25. Together we invent, produce and sell upcycling products in our workshop in the center of Graz/Austria. Furthermore we provide the opportunity to cook and eat together in our own kitchen. It is our intention to help young people in our project to find a job or an apprenticeship.
heidenspass works with a heterogeneous team and people gain a lot of intercultural experience. The volunteers gain experience in low-threshold social work and get to know young people with difficult backgrounds. At the same time they can be part of a very creative community (upcycling design).

heidenspass is a non-profit association, which is government-funded. heidenspass also generates proceeds by selling our own products.
We put a value on work that is well done: producing products that are of high quality. Experimenting with materials enriches us! We like to try out new ideas and allow ourselves to get sidetracked! We like being in contact and in communication with our customers, partners and friends! We are able to do this with our events. And, when possible, we incorporate the ideas from our customers into the development process.

It is located in the southeast of the country at a distance of 50 kilometers to the border of Slovenia and some 100 kilometers to the border of Hungary. Being a university town many young people are living here and so it offers interesting cultural, social and sportive day and night activities.
