Main activities during EVS:

1) School programs and preventional work – Volunteers will visiting schools and promote the healty and active lifestyle for the youngsters. They organize workshops and lead non-formal games for them. This program help them to get to know about the Erasmus+ projects and EVS. They have possibility to prove their English skills also.
We have really good connections with some local shools where the very welcome the EVS volunteers.

2) Program organizing activities –
We have an own running race call Oxigen Cup, from October till March we organize six events. More than 700 runners take part in each of our race. Because of this big number we need the help of our volunteers. In these events the EVS volunteers and the local volunteers can cooperate together.
During the running race the volunteers can take part in several fields eg. administration, logistic activities, other preparation work etc.

3) Promotional activities –
Promotion of the Erasmus+ program, EVS, healthy lifestyle and running in schools, community spaces, own programs and making the needed promotion materials. For example: photo and video making; blog-Facebook-webpage update; newspaper editing. Organizing activities during the runner championships together with the Hungarian volunteers (flash mob, poster, musical-dancing production).

4) Own project –
Our EVS volunteers get the opportunity to realize own projects as they want.
It is really important that volunteers be able to work independently, make decisions and realize the project with the best of their knowledge. Of course the host organization gives guidelines to be able to.

It’s needed to be able to speak in English in a minimum level and it’s advantage if the volunteers can speak in Hungarian!

Selection process

For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month)

– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”. We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general EVS one.

Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.
