Hosting organisation is a global platform open to organizations working within the field of sport for all, recreational sports and physical activity. Created in 1995,Hosting organisation is today a global actor closely cooperating with its 180 member organisations, international NGOs, and public and private sector stakeholders. Its 40 million individual members from 74 countries represent a diverse group of people active within youth, sport and cultural activities.
Tasks and activities
There are three working areas we currently offer to volunteers: 1)Hosting organisation projects.Hosting organisation engages member organisations and other partners in projects within the present priority topics. You will be part of a team organising events and activities in externally funded projects with topics such as physical activity and health, physical activity and education, health-enhancing physical activity, sport and physical activity for disadvantaged groups, youth training.
2)Hosting organisation events.Hosting organisation is coordinating various events, meetings and congresses which have great influence in the promotion of sport and physical activity on regional level. You will have a chance to be a part of the coordinating team of those events, giving input to the planning, communications, recruitment and logistics.
3) NowWeMOVE campaign and MOVE Week. You will be part of this pan-European campaign organised byHosting organisation and its partners. Your main task will be to support and implement activities at the local level in connection with MOVE Agents and member organisations all over Europe. In particular you will be in charge of marketing, event organisation, country-specific promotion, etc. You will therefore be able to challenge yourself in tasks such as: event organisation, communication and marketing, analysis and reporting, fundraising, project management, financial management, physical activity promotion.
How to apply
Building Bridges members and/or long term unemployed (proved by scanned document) will have preference to this volunteer service.
We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the coming weeks.
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month) with skype name included
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”. We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general EVS one. The volunteer is chosen according to his/her motivation and interest to the project and to the activities. It will be paid special attention to cover letters. Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.
