project description

The main topic of this project is the «image» of different countries in the eyes of an EU- citizen.
From the point of view of the current situation in EU, One country with an image as the «strong» country and one as the «weak» one. We want to break these stereotypes and show that not everyone from these countries is the same. We also want to show that volunteers from these countries can live
and work together without any problems and actually create interesting things together.

The task of the volunteers will be to try to break all the stereotypes of the countries – shoot videos, write articles, organize an event – at this point you are free to talk and make your ideas come true.

Very important topic is also to support multi-cultural environment in Slaný, to show how useful and pleasant it can be. That’s why you will organize
Cultural evenings about your countries, the stereotypes about them and about the reality. You will also teach your native languages at YIC (not
professionally!) and join our conversational club in English. You will also visit English and German classes at the local schools and club for kids at the
library.

We are very active on Social media, that’s the reason why we search for a volunteer with passion for shooting and editing videos. You should be not scared to stay in front of camera, because different kinds of videos will be a big part of your work.

Detalles prácticos

PRACTICAL ARRANGEMENT
The project will last 12 months
There is a flat for two volunteers (2 rooms + living room, bathroom, kitchen, balcony)
One volunteer will arrive sooner (July 2018) and stay for two months with one of our current volunteer from Armenia.
The second volunteer will join the first one in October 2018 and they will start to work on their common project.

Monthly money for food and pocket money.
Possibility to study Czech with a professional Czech teacher.
