From April to November
Le Saix, Alps
- for 8 months in European Voluntary Service : the volunteer will receive 150 euros monthly, the visa fees, the food, the accomodation and a part of transport will be covered by the program.
- We need candidates with the driver ID, speaks English and have experience in animation
You will find in attachement some information about this place,we also would like to remind you some important points:
- The project having as main goal to give opportunities to volunteers to discover social diversity, intercultural experience, collective manual work and rural life in france.
- All tasks link to the keeping of the house and into the animation of the house as “cultural hosting center” with local people, youngster with fewer opportunities, international volunteers etc.
- the volunteers have the opportunity to be facilitators in workcamp if they are interested in it.
- Also, they will be involved into the animation of the local life of the area by participating to cultural, social or environmental project in the villages nearby.
- All our projects takes place in rural area and the volunteers are hosted together, in shared room, in the mission place
At the social and international hosting center la ferme du Faï in the Alps, the association propose you a collective civic service, around various missions that you will carry out with the support of the team and all the volunteers.
ENCOURAGE MEETINgS
– Allow the various people hosted (volunteers, employees in integration courses, youth groups, families …) to meet, by «doing together» and setting up specific activities (games, pizza evenings, workshops …)
– Participate in the life of the place: collective worcamps to highlight the built and natural heritage, collective life
– Animate international workcamps and Europeans youth exchanges, in Faï and in different villages of the Alps : facilitate intercultural dialogue within the group, organize activities, visits, manage the budget.
– Organize meeting times with the local population: international meals, parties, screenings, debates, hikes …
VALORIZE LOCAL RESOURCES
We also propose specific missions around two axes:
– Management and maintenance of the vegetable garden / organic and local cuisine / processing of local resources (lavender, fruits, vegetables …)
– The preparation of cultural events and the renovation of the Faï accoustic system.
Important : considering the very rural situation of the place, the driver’s licence is necessary.
Accommodation is proposed on site, with the international volunteers of the association.
Cómo conseguir el voluntariado Alpes
[box type=»note»]We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the coming weeks.
We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general ESC (European Solidarity Corps) one.
The volunteer is chosen according to his/her motivation and interest to the project and to the activities. It will be paid special attention to cover letters.
Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.[/box]
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month) with skype name included
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”.
