AGSA – Living and learning in the einewelt haus

 

Do you find exciting working with foreign cultures? Have you always wanted to be part of a big project and show off your organisational skills? Or would you rather work in the field of media? As diverse as you are, are also our projects in “einewelt haus” in Magdeburg

 

The einewelt haus

Since May 1996 AGSA (Auslandsgesellschaft Sachsen- Anhalt) has been the association responsible for the einewelt haus (one-world house) in Magdeburg. AGSA promotes the development of the oneworld house as a place for the whole population and interest groups that are committed to a democratic, open-minded and tolerant coexistence to meet and learn. Under the roof of AGSA take place a number of events, such as training courses, seminars and society meetings, language courses, round table discussions or film events.

 

Your tasks

Each volunteer has a chance to get involved in the AGSA projects according to his/her own interest. The responsibilities for the volunteers include:

International Youth projects/ Project management –  this part is highly influenced by organising and carrying out the international youth meeting «Eurocamp» which is held annually and inviting dozens of teenagers from all Europe.
Public Relations- you will be responsible for publications, documentations, press reviews, photographic documentations, designing the Website and keep it up to date
Language Café and local activities- your task is to organize Language Café in oneworld house together with the local activities, such as Mile for Democracy against Right-Wing Extremism
The volunteers are responsible for their own task, however they can also engage with the projects of their colleagues.

 

We are looking for:

curious and open-minded team player who can work creatively, independently and flexibly. They should be interested in cultural, historical and political backgrounds, enjoy working alone but also in a small team and have the right social skills to engage in projects and have innovative ideas. You should definitely have social competences and be opened to work in different fields.
