Do you want to gain new experiences and at the same time improve your German language skills, but also cooperation between partner cities, Radom and Magdeburg support? Maybe you like also build new interesting contacts with people from all over Europe and meet new cultures? Then this volunteer project should be the right one for you!
The next activity for a volunteer start in March 2015 and lasts for one year! The application for this project is available until 15/09/2014. Just send your completed APPLICATION FORM, your CV and a project-specific letter of motivation to jugend@agsa.de. You can also ask our current volunteers who cooperates until the end of September in the project about their daily life in Magdeburg. The German-Polish Society of Saxony-Anhalt was founded in February 1998. We unite in our ranks representatives of science, industry, education and culture, the regional parliament and NGO. We will be your contact for institutions, universities and companies in the country Saxony-Anhalt on questions of Poland available. With the implementation of events, lectures and study tours as well as scientific conferences and seminars, the company is committed to a better understanding between Germans and Polish and for more knowledge about the neighboring country – Poland, in Saxony-Anhalt. Our society is a member of the umbrella organization of the German-Polish companies in Germany.
Your responsibilities:
The focus of the project «Youth for Town (t)winning» is the strengthening of the partnership between Magdeburg and Radom.
- creation events, meetings as support for town twinning Radom and Magdeburg
- participation in school projects for Polish language and culture
- participation in Polish Culture Days in Saxony-Anhalt
- implement yours own project, ideas in the context of town and regional partnership
- assisting in the multilingual website and public relations events
- design of publications and documentation
Who are we looking for
You are responsible and have innovative ideas. In addition you go to work with a lot of initiative, enjoy working alone and also in team. You are interested in cultural, social and political aspects of the German-Polish past and present, which have treated and shown in media, film, photography, literature, theater, music and visual arts.
