Hosting organisation
Hosting organisation is a non-governmental, not-for- profit organisation which aims to inspire, support and empower young people. This is achieved through promoting education, healthier lifestyles, and social cohesion. It delivers programmes in Youth Development, Youth Leadership, Citizenship and Youth Education. It promotes learning through diversionary and non-formal activities such as sports, medias, and creative or performing arts. It is a strictly voluntary organisation and voluntarism is something that it promotes amongst the young people it We are looking for a special volunteer for a 12 month EVS project in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) from December 2016

EVS 1 – Graphic designer
EVS in (UK) from 01.12.2016 to 30.11.2017
The most suitable person will have:
– Experience as a graphic designer
– A good level of English
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Good organisational skills
And preferably have the following:
– IT skills
– Social media skills
– A demonstrable passion for creative design
You will work 35 hours a week and the tasks and activities will be:
– Office tasks (checking and answering emails, researching material to plan and organise activities, events, workshops)
– Develop original promotional material in order to promote OpportUNITY and its activities at the local and international level
– Help to develop booklets and toolkits of activities and workshops
– Improve communication and interpersonal skills, taking part in English classes and personal and professional development courses
– Promoting ERASMUS+ objectives and the EVS programme through workshops and seminars
EVS 2 – IT web coordinator
We are looking for a special volunteer for a 12 month EVS project in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) from December 2016
The most suitable person will have:
– Experience managing websites and social media
– IT and social media skills
– A good level of English
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
And preferably have the following:
– Good organisational skills
– Good networking skills
You will work 35 hours per week and the tasks and activities will include:
– Office tasks (checking and answering emails, researching material to plan and organise activities, events, workshops)
– Support the development and delivery of an effective communications and marketing strategy
– Daily management of the organisation’s website and social media accounts
– Managing PR and marketing campaigns
– Building new partnerships with local organisations/universities in the UK and across Europe
– Improving communication and interpersonal skills taking part in English classes and personal and professional development courses
– Promoting ERASMUS+ objectives and the EVS programme through workshops and seminars

You will start your service in December 2016 for a 12 month EVS project and the accommodations will be in a town near Newcastle upon Tyne called Whitley Bay.
EVS 3- Project Development Officer
We are looking for a special volunteer for a 12 month EVS project in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) from December 2016
The most suitable person will have:
– Experience in fundraising, preparing and submitting funding applications
– A good level of spoken and written English
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Good project management skills
And preferably have the following:
– IT skills
If you are a tolerant, open minded and enthusiastic person interested in working in an inter-cultural, creative, proactive, motivated and passionate environment, apply for this project.
You will work 35 hours a week and the tasks and activities will be:
– Supporting the host organisation in finding local and international funding
– Writing and submitting funding applications
– Helping the host organisation with planning, organising, implementing and evaluating local and International activities
– Creating a network of local and international partners to increase the chances for the host organisation to be involved in several projects in the UK and across Europe
– Improving communication and interpersonal skills by taking part in English classes and personal and professional development courses
– Promoting ERASMUS+ objectives and the EVS programme through workshops and seminars
You will start your service in December 2016 for a 12 months EVS project and the accommodation will be in a town near Newcastle called Whitley Bay.
EVS 4 – Youth leader
We are looking for a special volunteer for a 12 month EVS project in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) from December 2016
The most suitable person will have:
– Experience in youth work as a trainer, delivering sessions or willing to learn
– Experience mentoring, coaching and supporting young people to facilitate personal, social and educational growth as well encouraging greater social inclusion
– A good level of English
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
And preferably have the following:
– IT skills
– Social media skills
If you are a tolerant, open minded and enthusiastic person interested in working in an inter-cultural, creative, motivated and passionate environment, apply for this project.
You will work 35 hours a week and the tasks and activities will be:
– Planning, organising, preparing, implementing and evaluating local and International activities so as to support the trainer in learning and improving how to prepare and deliver sessions
– Willing to work evenings and weekends (two days of every week)
– Assessing the needs of young people, planning and delivering programmes in youth centres, schools, colleges and universities
– Helping to develop a toolkit of activities and workshops
– Developing EVS promotional material in order to spread the opportunity to local organisations, inform local young people and international organisations
– Improving communication and interpersonal skills by taking part in English classes and personal and professional development courses
– Promoting ERASMUS+ objectives and the EVS programme through workshops and seminars
You will start your service in December 2016 for a 12 month EVS project and the accommodations will be in a town near Newcastle called Whitley Bay.
How to apply
Building Bridges members and/or long term unemployed (proved by scanned document) will have preference to this volunteer service.
We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the coming weeks.
