We are looking for volunteers, who can start in March/April 2017 or asap. The project will take place in Stuttgarter Jugendhaus gGmbH (stjg, http://www.jugendhaus.net/), a youth organization based in Stuttgarter, Germany. stjg, apart from other activities, manages various projects with the aim to strengthen the participation of children and young people in the society. The only requirement for the volunteers is to have intermediate knowledge of German (≈B1). Experience with project management is a plus, but not required.
Tareas servicio voluntario europeo Alemania
The volunteers will have a chance to take part on all the phases of project planning and implementation. Therefore, the activities range from work in the office (answering e-mails and calls, helping with administrative tasks), sponsors acquisition to actual work with children. Volunteers will be assigned tasks according to their skills and wishes and are also encouraged to show initiative and develop their own projects.
Aspectos prácticos servicio voluntario europeo Alemania
Volunteers are staying in a shared apartment in Stuttgart-West. Every volunteers has his or her fully-furnished room, they share kitchen, bathroom and a toilet. There is also Wi-Fi.
Three grocery stores close to the apartment, everything else can be comfortably reached with the public transport. A bus station is in front of the house, metro station 3 minutes walking distance away. Volunteers also get a monthly public transport tickets. The monthly allowance is 110 euros, plus 7.87 euros per day for food.
Throughout the stay, volunteers are supported by the youth center staff and a mentor.
Especially after the arrival, assistance is provided with registration of the address, visa (if needed), and other practical matters. Volunteers are also encouraged to enroll in German language course as soon as possible after their arrival.
Cómo solicitar servicio voluntariado europeo Alemania
Building Bridges members and/or long term unemployed (proved by scanned document) will have preference to this volunteer service.
We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview. The selection of volunteers will take place in the coming weeks.
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– Europass CV with picture (made in the last month) with skype name included
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”. We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general EVS one. The volunteer is chosen according to his/her motivation and interest to the project and to the activities. It will be paid special attention to cover letters.
– Application form (signed) from Building Bridges
Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.
