In addition it is a plus if the volunteer is interested in education and moving students in a direction of internationalisation, and has preferable skills from coordinating project and events are an advantage.

University of Denmark is an elite, international technical university located in Kongens Lygby, Denmark. DTU is recognized internationally as a leading university in the areas of the technical and the natural sciences, renowned for our business-oriented approach, our focus on sustainability, and our amazing study environment.
Student services and administrative work are managed through the Department for Study Programmes and Student Affairs. This department administers everything from enrolment for both international and local students, to exams registration and execution, to the development of the learning environment for its students.
The department is divided into several Offices, one of which is the Office for International Affairs. This Office deals with sending local and international students on exchange, welcoming those coming to Denmark on exchange as well as full degree students, and arranges various orientation events for international and exchange students. The EVS Volunteer will be connected to this office, led by Head of Office Morten Overgaard. The Office for International Affairs is further divided into teams, one of which is termed International Student Services (ISS). Daily operations for the EVS Volunteer will be as a part of this team under the coordination of Sara Gollander; International Study Advisor and Daily Manager of the International Study Guidance Office (ISGO), and Trent C. Coelli; International Study Advisor and Orientation Coordinator.

We have a partnership with Building Bridges Association (YesEuropa).
It also has a partnership with Building Bridges in Denmark, who will administer the Erasmus+ grant that the volunteers receive during their stay. Coordinators and the programme also facilitates volunteers connect in an EVS network. Additionally, UNs international team at the central office will help the volunteer administer paperwork related to arriving in Denmark, as this office already handles such administrative areas concerning internationalisation and mobility activities at UN.
Tareas becas Dinamarca
The volunteer will be working in the central international office – UN International, led by International Director (constituted). The department assists and facilitates the implementation of strategic internationalization activities across the various campuses and departments, such as international partnerships, the Erasmus+ Charter, all types of scholarships, marketing, recruitment, admission and retention of international degree students with employability activities, interpretation, international development projects, and fostering an international student/study environment.
The volunteer will support UNI in the implementations of various projects that strengthen an international student environment at UNI and that strengthen the international students employability opportunities in our region. Working with the strategy of implementing the global mind-set various events as international week, Danish courses, employability CAMP, summer school, introduction to the reflective based practice learning for international students, intercultural competences, recruitment and marketing, cultural preparation for students whether they stay at home or go abroad, are focus areas of UN in the coming years and the volunteer will assist in implementing these activities. The key tasks include communication via social media, public relations, and event coordination.
Alojamiento becas Dinamarca
The volunteer will stay with a local Danish host family and will be expected to become part of the family and as such take part in the activities and responsibilities in the family.
Otros aspectos prácticos
UNI has a partnership with coordinators Denmark, who will administer the Erasmus+ grant – including the volunteer allowance to be given to the volunteers during the program.
In addition, kultur will make sure that every EVS volunteer gets a contact person who will help the volunteer integrate into the Danish local community and support the volunteer with every matter related to the stay of the volunteer.
The EVS volunteer will be invited to participate in various activities which are offered by the local chapters and volunteer committees to all coordinators participants in the area. In this way the volunteer will have face-to-face encounters with young people and youth workers from a variety of backgrounds and gain further intercultural competence.
Both coordinators and UN will assist volunteers with the administrative paperwork related to arriving in Denmark

We will study carefully all application and selected candidates will be invite for Skype interview.
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– CV with picture (made in the last month) with skype name included
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”. We ask all candidates to send a specific letter of motivation – why they want to volunteer with us rather than just a general EVS one. The volunteer is chosen according to his/her motivation and interest to the project and to the activities. It will be paid special attention to cover letters.
