Haute-Loire is a local public organisation which works in various fields : social action and inclusion (kids, kids at risk, disabilities, old people, people with social and professional difficulties), roads, education (middle schools), accommodation.

It acts in other fields that are not mandatory : environment and sustainable development, tourism, sport, economy, information technologies, youth.

The project will take place in particular in the Directorate “Youth, Culture, and Sustainable development”, which is divided in three parts : “Culture, Heritage, Animation and Associations”, “Middle Schools, Rural areas and Sustainable development” and “Administration and Large projects”.

The workshops will cover three of the four following topics, chosen by the volunteer before the beginning of the project :

– European Union : countries, languages, institutions, values, etc

– Citizenship

– Food and local agriculture

– Biodiversity

Haute-Loire is a local public administration. Therefore, part of the job will be at the office. The other part will be in front of the young people.

The volunteer will be able to :

– create workshops, communication tools, pedagogic kits,

– organize meetings, plan calendar of activities

– present workshops in front of young people (aged 11 to 15)

Alojamiento para voluntarios Francia

Accomodation can be either in a home for young workers to share common spaces (kitchen, TV, library, etc) with other young peolpe, or in a small appartment.

Mid-day meals will be taken at the restaurant. Money will be given to cover costs of other meals.

A card for local transport will be paid, as well as a card for train.

A card to get discounts for cinema will be paid.

Formación voluntarios Francia

The volunteer will receive help from all the workers of the administration, specifically from those who work in the fields chosen by the volunteer.

The volunteer will also receive online language support, if necessary.

Additional help will be possible if necessary, with qualified volunteer people.

Perfil requerido

The volunteer must be interested in :

– working with young people, aged 11 to 15

– talking about his/her country

– working on sustainable development (food and agriculture, biodiversity)

– encouraging active citizenship, even at a european level

– working in a pluridisciplinary team (culture, heritage, environment, younth, European Union, sports)

Infromación adicional

You will work in a young team of 15 motivated people, working with passion in their skills domains.

We are very eager to work with a young foreign volunteer and help him/her to get new skills and discover the French way of life.
