They will stay in Paris since September 2015 for 12 months.
We would like to invite two EVS (one is already chosen) to our Mediation department.
• Participate in the cultural mediation of projects with the mediator;
• Welcome associations for their sports practices;
• Participate in hosting artists for programming;
• More generally contribute to the tasks of management of cultural activities and leisure;
• Participate in the implementation of communication materials (posters, flyers, brochures);
• Post poster in the building;
• Participate in various meetings.
Volunteer profiles and recruitment process
The hosting organisation wants to host two EVS with profiles already fairly stated. We presuppose that our EVS’ interest in the arts or sport is natural and evident. We welcome candidates with training or experience in one of the field mentioned below:
– management of cultural projects;
– associative action;
We prefer to choose volunteers with at least basic knowledge of French.
The motivation of future volunteer is very important. We are looking for the candidates, who are enthusiastic, curious, initiative and ready to work in an international team. We need creative and open-minded people with ability of adapting to different kind of projects and willing to bring and introduce new ideas to our space. A mediator is a person who encourage people from different associations, organizations and companies to participate in projects and activities offered by hosting organisation. That’s why we are looking for a person who is talkative, sociable and eager to promote and share ideas.
We will select the CVs which, in our opinion, suits this profile the most and invite candidates for a Skype interview (or interviews…)
Hosting organisation provides accommodation, the type of accommodation is still under our consideration (shared apartment, foyer etc.). It’s highly possible that our volunteers will stay in The House of Volunteer.
Risk prevention, protection and safety
However, the EVS will have to act outside of their offices, either within the building or outside the building (meeting with associations, meetings with artists, other facilities). The EVS welcomed will work in the same regulatory conditions as employees of hosting organisation. Thus,hosting organisationis a public establishment and must comply with the French Labour Code. Employees from the technical direction have several degrees in safety as: Fire Department and Care (SSIAP) Level 1 (2 agents) and 3 (1 agent), Certificate of training in first aid (5 people), Control of fire extinguishers. Other employees have training in safety the First aid at work Lifeguard (3 agents). Finally,hosting organisation has several organizational regulatory documents: Regulation of social management, Rules of recovery time work, Sheets positions. EVS safety will be assured.
For the selection of the volunteers we will need:
– CV with picture (made in the last month)
– Motivational letter, writing that your sending organisation will be “Building Bridges”.
Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”.
