MinutesTASKS DESCRIPTION
You are a certified stainless steel and carbon steel welder and are willing to work abroad. First month you will work in Belgium, afterwards you will be send project based to different clients in Europe.
You have good vision and you have good concentration and stable coordination of movements during welding.
You know the different welding joint designs (V, X, Y - joint), recognize welding defects and can properly estimate their gradation.
You will be responsible for the MAG (135) welding onsite at clients.
You will be welding in all positions, thickness of 3 mm to 20 mm in butt weld (BW) and fillet weld (FW)
You have a sound knowledge of photo welding (according to a Welding Procedure Specification - WPS)
All welds are 100% RT or UT examined.
Candidates will start by performing a welding test, if they pass, they will receive a contract and can start working.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Technical education/welding
Work experience: Several years of relevant experience as a MAG welder
Language: We need to form groups of candidates (5 to 6) with a minimum of 2 English speakers/group
Others: You have a VCA or are willing to get it
You have valid welding certificates for MAG (135) for BW and FW joints with a thickness range of 3mm – 20mm or willing to get on the first day arriving in Belgium
Experience with GTAW (141), FCAW (136)
welding on stainless steel and/or carbon steel is a plus
Conditions
Regular hours per week hours: 40
Paycheck: weekly
Gross salary: Between 17.5€ and 18.5€ gross, experienced welders will start at 18.56€
Estimated weekly net salary without housing cost deducted when staying in Belgium: 1 For a gross of 18,5€ on 40 hours a week (minimum according to contract): 685€ when working on a project (so 25€ a day fee included) 1 For a gross of 18,5€ on 45 hours a week(what happens most of the time): 755€
Mealvouchers : 8€/day (1.09€ tax)
Extra: You have 12 paid compensation days a year
Net allowance of 25€/day when working abroad
Shift hours: Depending on the project, can be only 40 hours a week or up to 55 hours a week
How is overtime paid? : 150%, 50% paid directly, 100% later as paid holidays
HOUSING & TRANSPORTATION
Public transport possible? No
Driver’s licence and car required? No
Rent of L2E housing: Housing cost will be paid by the employer, there is a net contribution the worker needs to pay when
working on projects in Belgium. (25€) When working abroad, housing is fully paid by the employer.
Rent of L2E car (if available) : Transport will be organized by the employer.
You must bring the following items with you:
1. A undamaged, legal and valid identity document (an EU Passport or ID Card).
2. Your bank card and international I-Ban and Bic Code.
3. Safety shoes and working clothes.
4. Sofi = BSN number (Dutch tax number) (when you have one, otherwise we arrange an appointment for you)
5. Your VCA-certificate. VCA Basic Safety English (B-VCA) (Only when you have one)
