Introduction
The project will be implemented in Cromford, Derbyshire, United Kingdom between July 25th – August 4th, 2015 (July 25th being the day of arrival and August 4th being the day of departure).
The activity “Take the lead – Active Citizenship through Urban Arts” is a training course that will take place over 10 nights in in Cromford, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, and bring together 29 youth leaders from The United Kingdom, Denmark, Romania, Lithuania, Spain and Portugal.
The theme of the training is the promotion of active citizenship and participation amongst marginalised young people in Europe through Urban Arts as a method of engagement. The training will be based on non-formal learning methods and is designed to encourage reflection and experience sharing. Activities will include simulations and interactive exercises, workshops, presentations and group discussions.
All activities are designed so that participants will have active involvement, and be encouraged to reflect upon their learning.
The visits will be conducted in English and translation will not be provided. Therefore, the participants are expected to have a good level of English, both written and spoken.

Participants profile:
In order to participate, the candidates should be above 18 years old and must fulfill the following requirements:
Be/or intending to be a youth leader,
Have a good conduct in English;
Be able to attend the entire Training course
Have an interest in Urban Music as a method for inclusion
Be committed to multiply the results of the project in the local communities.
Candidates who do not fulfill the above requirements will not be considered, and hence be taken off the list.
Travel:
Participants are responsible to arrange their international travel to the project venue. The travel budget per participant is €275.
Should the travel expenses exceed the budget allocated, the participants are required to cover the extra costs.
Insurance:
The participants are responsible to make their own insurance covering them for the whole duration of the training. However, we reccommend to book from www.seguroserasmus.com
Application procedure:
For participation in this training, interested candidates are required to complete an on-line application form that will be deliver to short listed candidates.
The nominated participants should have completed the application form no later than Monday 1st June, 2015. Confirmation of the participant selection will be announced by the organizer by Friday 5th June, 2015.
In the selection of the participants, priority is given by the organizers to geographically wide representation and gender balance.
Only complete application forms will be taken into consideration.
Selection process
You should complete registration in 2 steps:
1. Please send your application form, CV and motivation letter to asociacionbb@gmail.com with subject «TC UK Urban Art«. Remember to write in the motivation letter that your sending institution is “Asociación Building Bridges”. All documents written in english you can send to: asociacionbb@gmail.com with subject “TC UK Urban Art“.
Selected participants will receive the detailed infosheet after the selection process.
2. Pay the registration fee (40€) by Paypal or bank transfer to :Asociación Building Bridges, CIF G85466886. This registration fee includes one year membership to our National and International activities.
* It is compulsory to send application form, CV and motivation letter and pay the registration fee at the same time in order to be within the pre-selection process.
If you are not selected by the sending or hosting organisation, we will reimburse the fee. Please see conditions of Erasmus+ grants
